Upcoming Releases: September 2022

Hi everyone! It’s officially time for another upcoming releases post. I always really enjoy writing these, it’s so much fun sharing what I’m looking forward to. This month looks like an amazing one for new releases, two of my most anticipated releases of the year are releasing this month so I’m super excited for that! There’s a lot of mysteries releasing this month just in time for spooky season, but there’s a couple of other genres here too! Now let’s get onto them.

Please note that these dates are correct as of the time of writing and refer to UK hardcover publication only, as that’s what I’ll be reading.

Nothing More To Tell by Karen McManus

Release Date: 1st September

Genre: Mystery, thriller

Initial Thoughts: Over the years, McManus has become something of an auto-buy author for me – and I’m really excited to read her next book! I’m so excited to read Brynn discover the truth about who murdered her favourite teacher.

The Final Gambit by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Release Date: 1st September

Genre: Mystery, thriller

Initial Thoughts: After reading The Inheritance Games and The Hawthorne Legacy I can’t wait to see what happens in this! I’m so excited to see how Barnes wraps up the series – I have really high hopes. I’m expecting lots of twists and drama and hopefully some action, and I’m hoping I won’t be disappointed!

Monsters Born And Made by Tanvi Berwah

Release Date: 6th September

Genre: Fantasy, dystopian

Initial Thoughts: I don’t read much fantasy but this has really got me hooked! The Glory Race sounds so suspenseful and I really hope Koral’s successful – her family really needs the victory. It sounds like such an action packed read and that’s exactly what I’m looking for.

I’m The Girl by Courtney Summers

Release Date: 13th September

Genre: Thriller, mystery

Initial Thoughts: I loved Sadie, so when I saw Summers had a new release I knew I had to get my hands on it! I’m so excited to see Georgia and Nora team up and I really hope they can get justice for Ashley. I love that class and privilege are big themes on this too!

The Weight Of Blood by Tiffany D. Jackson

Release Date: 15th September

Genre: Horror, thriller

Initial Thoughts: This sounds like the perfect Halloween read! I don’t currently read much horror but I’m looking to change that, and I think this could be the place to start. I’m really curious about exactly happens on prom night. I love that racism is explored so prominently in this too!

The Girl In The Castle by James Patterson and Emily Raymond

Release Date: 15th September

Genre: Mystery, fantasy

Initial Thoughts: I’ve heard so many great things about James Patterson but somehow haven’t read anything by them yet! I always find books with time travel really interesting and I’m excited to see the mystery incorporated with it in this one. I’m already rooting for Hannah!

The Killing Code by Ellie Marney

Release Date: 20th September

Genre: Historical fiction, mystery

Initial Thoughts: I always find books set during World War Two really interesting, and I love this mystery set during it! The girls in this all sound like such strong characters and I’m really excited for them to take down the mysterious man behind the murders. I hope they succeed!

My Second Impression of You by Michelle I. Mason

Release Date: 20th September

Genre: Contemporary, romance

Initial Thoughts: This sounds like a really cute read! If you’re a regular reader you’ll know I can never resist a good contemporary, and this sounds like it could very well be one. I love the idea of reliving your best day and I’m really excited to see how the MC’s perspective changes! I think this has a really great message and I’m so here for it.

Which book are you most excited for? Are there on your radar I haven’t included? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

  1. FDHHJJFDJKDFJKDFJK ANTICIPATED RELEASES POSTS ARE ACTUALLY MY FAVORITES TOO, like the way they get you SO INCREDIBLY EXCITED for all the new books??? THE FEELING IS UNMATCHED. ALSO I LOVE THIS. (my tbr’s definitely much MUCH longer BUT ITS OK. WHAT is life for if not MORE BOOKS AND MURDER-OBSESSED TBRS RIGHT???) i’ve actually hated most of the mcmanus books ive ever read. but we’re kind of huge on self-torture around here, SO AM DEFINITELY READING HER NEW RELEASE. i really hate to admit it, but the ‘a story to die for’ part of it PROBABLY HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH MY DECISION. its just intriguing like that ok?? ALSO THE COVER FOR MONSTERS BORN AND MADE IS SINGLE HANDEDLY RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING IT ONE OF MY MOST ANTICIPATED READS OF THE MONTH, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. also weight of blood ok?? FASCINATING COVERS ARE HUGE AROUND HERE AND AM TRASH FOR THEM (dont tell anyone). every single book ive ever read featuring time travel has actually been PHENOMENALLY DISAPPOINTING, but the girl in the castle still excites me. IS THAT NORMAL?? ALSO DID I MENTION THIS POST IS ABSOLUTE PERFECTION AND AM IN LOVE WITH IT LIKE THAT??

    1. Ahh I’m so glad to hear that you enjoy them too – they’re always so much fun to read! I’m so sorry to hear you’re not much of a fan of McManus – but I hope Nothing More To Tell might change your mind (a story to die for definitely got me hooked too!). Yesss the cover is absolutely gorgeous, I hope you enjoy it! Weight Of Blood is one of my most anticipated ones too! Thank you so much for reading and leaving such a long comment, I really hope you enjoy all of these! ❤
