It’s Book Haul Time! June And July 2022

Hi everyone! It’s officially time for another book haul post. This time I’m clumping June and July in together, as I didn’t buy many books in either of those months. Now let’s get onto it!

Verity by Colleen Hoover

Initial Thoughts: Colleen Hoover seems to be absolutely everywhere at the moment, but somehow I still haven’t read any of her books yet! When I saw Verity in The Works last month I couldn’t resist picking it up, I love a good mystery and I think this will be something I really enjoy.

The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas

Initial Thoughts: Books about travel are always a must for me, so when I saw this I knew I had to pick it up… Especially after all the stellar reviews on booktok! I’ve wanted to visit Spain for a while now so I’m really excited to delve into the Spanish setting. I also find fake dating books so much fun so I can’t wait to see what it’s like in this!

Book Lovers by Emily Henry

Initial Thoughts: Somehow I still haven’t read anything by Emily Henry, and I think Book Lovers is the perfect place to start! I love books about book lovers (they’re always so much fun) and enemies-to-lovers is a favourite trope of mine. The small town setting sounds super cute too!

Love And Other Great Expectations by Becky Dean

Thoughts: I’ve actually already finished this one and it was such a cute read! I loved Britt’s exploration of England and her character development was really amazing. I also loved her relationship with Luke, which was absolutely adorable – I was shipping them right from the start! I would definitely recommend picking this one up.

Tag, You’re Dead by Kathryn Foxfield

Initial Thoughts: When I saw this in Waterstones I knew I had to pick this up! I read It’s Behind You last year and it was one of my favourite reads of the year, so I really hope I love this just as much! I think the idea of a live-streamed tag all across the city is such a fun concept and I can’t wait to see what the execution is like.

See You Yesterday by Rachel Lynn Solomon

Initial Thoughts: Ok so technically this belongs on my May Book Haul as it was a birthday present, but it arrived this month so I’m including it here! I can’t wait to read another book by Rachel Lynn Solomon, I loved Today Tonight Tomorrow so I have really high expectations for this. I love the college setting and time travel aspect, which is super cool! I definitely think this will be my next read.

And that’s it for today’s post! As you can see I ended up with quite a few contemporaries and mysteries, which is perfect for the summer – I know I always blast through contemporaries in the hotter months and I can never resist a good mystery!

Have you read any of these? What new books have you been buying recently? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you enjoyed this haul!

    1. Ahh thank you so much! I’m so sorry you didn’t enjoy The Spanish Love Deception and Verity, it’s honestly the worst feeling when you read a book you don’t click with. I’m so here for the creepy vibes with Verity though so I’m crossing my fingers I’ll enjoy it more than you! I hope you enjoy Tag, You’re Dead if you end up reading it, thank you so much for reading and leaving such a long comment.

  12. I’m adding The Spanish Love Deception to my TBR! It looks fun, and I’m pretty sure my last fiction read was from one of your lists (it was Don’t Tell, Don’t Tell, Don’t Tell by Liane Shaw), and I enjoyed that.
I also like to read books about different locations I could travel – it’s more fun than just reading travel guides.
