Monthly Wrap Up: November 2021

Hi everyone! I can’t believe it’s already time for another monthly wrap up; this year’s been flying by. It feels like only yesterday it was October! This month’s been super hectic for me; I’ve been studying for looming mocks as well as adding the finishing touches to my university application and spending time with loved ones. Despite this, I still managed to read three books this month, which I think is pretty good!

Siege And Storm by Leigh Bardugo

Rating: ✯✯✯✯

Thoughts: After reading Shadow And Bone, I was super excited to read this… And it didn’t disappoint! Although I didn’t enjoy it as much as the previous book (I felt the pacing wasn’t quite right) I still really liked it. I loved seeing more of the Grishaverse being unveiled and I think it’s safe to say the world building was just as great as the previous. I also really liked Nikolai, who was introduced in this book, and I couldn’t wait to see more of him in Ruin And Rising!

More Than Mistletoe by The Christmas Collective

Rating: ✯✯✯✯✯

Thoughts: The Christmas Collective were kind enough to send me a digital copy of this as well as a gift box, and I absolutely loved their anthology! It features twelve different Christmas stories, each with some romance and mostly with a happy ending. If you’re looking for a warming book to curl up with this winter this is the one – it’s perfect to dip in and out of as well as for getting you into the Christmas spirit!

Ruin And Rising by Leigh Bardugo

Rating: ✯✯✯✯

Thoughts: The finale of this series was absolutely amazing! I loved finding out more about the Darkling’s past as well as the incredibly dark turns this book took. Although in some ways I didn’t like the ending, in others it was absolutely perfect – I loved seeing things come full circle. Overall I really enjoyed this book and I’m so excited to read Six Of Crows and see another side to the Grishaverse!

Have you read any of these books? What books have you read this month? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you enjoyed this post!
