Monthly Wrap Up: October 2021

Hi everyone! I can’t believe it’s November now – it’s getting super close to Christmas! This month was pretty busy for me, I’ve still had to balance my blog with full time school and spending time with my family and friends. This all led to me only reading one book this month – which is a lot less than last month, but I’m not surprised given everything else that’s been going on!

Shadow And Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Rating: ✯✯✯✯✯

Thoughts: I’ve been meaning to read Six Of Crows for so long now, and, when my sister recommended I read the Shadow And Bone trilogy before it, I finally found myself picking this up! I went into this book with pretty low expectations, I’d seen a lot of mixed reviews on it so I was pleasantly surprised when I read it and loved it! The world building was absolutely spot on and it definitely led to me anticipating the other books in the Grishaverse even more. I would definitely recommend this for any fantasy fan who’s looking for an amazing new series to start!

What books have you read this month? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

  1. I haven’t read any Leigh Bardugo although I keep seeing people posting about Six Of Crows. I’ve been re-reading some old favourites recently – Laini Taylor, Madeleine Miller and Pat Barker – like being with old friends 🙂

    1. I’d definitely recommend checking their work out (this is actually part of a trilogy set before the Six Of Crows duology)! That’s the best feeling, I definitely need to check out some of those authors too. Thank you so much for reading and commenting 🙂

  2. This is an interesting book! For me, I picked up a self-help book titled True You written by Janet Jackson. It’s a book about finding and loving yourself. It’s so powerful and full of wisdom! Thanks for sharing this post!
