Witch
A Magical Character or Book.

There are so many possible answers to this! Alina from the Shadow and Bone trilogy is a really good example, though – she was incredibly powerful and I loved reading about her, as well as other characters’ in the book, magical abilities. The books are truly so magical and Bardugo did an incredible job with the world building!
Werewolf
The Perfect Book to Read at Night.

It’s Behind You! This follows a group of teenagers who get trapped in a cave when a reality TV show goes wrong, and it was absolutely perfect. There were some really strong characters in there and I loved the spooky scenes where they were trapped and trying to escape! It’s absolutely perfect for those long and dark Autumn nights.
Frankenstein
A Book that Truly Shocked You.

Quite a few of my mysteries could fit into this! I think I’d have to go for As Good As Dead by Holly Jackson, though – I wasn’t expecting it to be nearly as dark as it was but it made me love it even more! Jackson went down a really different route and it really paid off.
The Devil
A Dark, Evil Character.

Voldemort and Umbridge from Harry Potter… They were both very different characters but both were very dark and evil. The villains from this series have really stayed with me!
Grim Reaper
A Character that Should Never Have Died.

Literally so many characters… I could probably come up with at least twenty from Harry Potter alone! that being said, I think I’d have to go with Rue from The Hunger Games – she was so innocent and didn’t deserve to die so young. Her death further highlighted just how barbaric the games were.
Zombie
A Book that Made You “Hungry” for More.

Perfect On Paper! I really loved this book, it had such a great storyline and such great character development! I still want more of Darcy and Brougham’s relationship, haha – they were just too cute!
Gargoyle
A Character that You Would Protect at All Cost.

Nora from The Girls I’ve Been! She deserves the world after everything that she went through and endured. She came out the other side incredibly strong and she truly does deserve to be happy.
Vampire
A Book that Sucked the Life Out of You.

That would be Even If We Break! I struggled so much with this book and it’s actually been my least favourite read of the year so far. It took so much out of me to get to the ending and even then it wasn’t satisfying – I don’t usually dnf books but I honestly wish I had with this one!
Ghost
A Book that Still Haunts You.

Ever since I finished The Invisible Life Of Addie LaRue I haven’t been able to get it off my brain! The writing was just so beautiful and it made me fall in love with reading all over again. The love story in this was also beautifully told, and I can’t stop thinking about Henry and Addie!
Demon
A Book that Really Scared You.

That’s a tough one – it takes a lot to scare me with a book. I think I would have to go with The Obsession, though – it didn’t scare me in the traditional sense but more the realisation of what humans are capable of, which I think can be just as scary.
Skeleton
A Character You Have a Bone to Pick With.

Tris from the Divergent series! I don’t want to give away too much for people who haven’t read the final book yet but let’s just say her actions at the end of Allegiant were completely unnecessary and I’m still mad over what she did.
Mummy
A Book You Would Preserve Throughout Time.

Opposite Of Always! This book is so underrated but seriously so, so good. I plan on rereading it once I finally get through my current tbr! The romance in this was just absolutely adorable and, combined with the time travel aspect, it made for a really fantastic read.
Creepy Doll
A Cover too Scary to Look At.
I don’t think I actually have any covers which are particularly scary!
The Monster Mash
It’s Fun to Be with Friends on Halloween!
Tag Your Friends!
